High Key Metal
Test series with NevaehLleh
March 26, 2009
This day of shooting comprised a range of "test shoots" for lighting and set concepts using some metal plates and frames on loan from my friend and mentor Adam Chilson.
For a change of pace, and a completely different mood than anything I've seen Adam shoot with the metal, Nev and I tried a couple of sets against a white backdrop.
Some of the poses are shot in a controlled-overexposure high-key style. These effects are created almost entirely in camera through lighting and exposure choices. Slight contrast and saturation adjustments (and of course b/w conversions for the digital b/w shots) are made in Photoshop to finish the images.
