Burning Man 2009

My third year at Burning Man marked my first year as part of a registered Theme Camp.

Camp Incendiary Intent had a prime location at 4:00 and Adapt, just off the Esplanade. We made a splash with our eight-foot-tall flaming camp sign, bullet-riddled bar serving spicy and fiery shots, fire performance stage, bondage suspension rig, and flamethrower displays. We were also privileged to host performances by our camp neighbors, the incredibly skilled fire spinners of Burn Academy.

Along with documenting our official camp activities, I spent several afternoons on walkabout around the City and across the playa, shooting people, activities, and art on black and white film.
